Operating for ten years, GRT Jewellers specializes in the retail sale of jewellery made from precious metals and stones. The company’s principal activity is the retail sale of exquisite jewellery, with a secondary activity focused on the retail sale of clothing for adults.

GRT Jewellers was founded by G. Rajendran in 1964 as GR Thangamaaligai. Under his leadership, the jewellery chain has grown to sell a wide range of diamond, gold, platinum, and silver jewellery, primarily in South India. His sons, G.R. Ananthapadmanabhan and G.R. Radhakrishnan, currently serve as managing directors at GRT Jewellers, continuing the legacy of excellence.

In addition to the jewellery business, G. Rajendran chairs the GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology, located outside Chennai. The group’s hospitality arm manages hotels and resorts across 14 cities in South India, showcasing the diverse interests and growth of the GRT brand.
