Lukfook’s expansion journey saw its first retail outlet in Mainland China in 1994, growing to a formidable network of 3,290 stores to date. A significant milestone in its pursuit of operational excellence was the establishment of the “Lukfook Jewellery Cultural & Creative Industry Park” in the Nansha District, Guangzhou, in 2003. This facility, spanning over 35,000 square meters, houses a large-scale jewellery processing plant that ensures a stable supply of high-quality products to Lukfook’s global retail network. The Nansha plant, which underwent expansion to double its production capacity, is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, underscoring its commitment to quality and environmental management.
The company prides itself on rigorous quality control measures, spanning from raw material procurement to after-sales service. This commitment is further exemplified by the establishment of China Gems Laboratory Limited (“CGL”) in 1996, a subsidiary dedicated to the authentication and grading of diamonds, jadeite jade, and coloured gemstones. CGL is distinguished as the only laboratory in Hong Kong accredited for testing jadeite jade, diamond grading, and gold fineness, reflecting its adherence to international quality standards.
In 2013, Lukfook introduced the Victoria Gemological Institute Limited, focusing on jewellery authentication and professional training. This institute has achieved international accreditation, enabling it to issue globally recognized reports for diamond, jadeite jade, ruby, sapphire, and emerald testing.
